 Slippery When Wet 5.7
got an invite to climb at mt. lemmon with mike and fletch today :)
seemed like way more fun than staying in the valley
hadn't climbed outside in several months
left town around 0700, parking at windy point
a short approach down a gully to the base of slippery when wet
two pitch climb
mike led the first, i followed, then fletch
fletch led the second pitch, then me, then mike
fun climb with a variety of moves
didn't get the first pitch clean, but much better form on the second - always takes me awhile to get the feel of rock again
rapped off, then went around the corner to climb makin' muffins, another 5.7
low angle slab with decent hands and feet
after some nice sun on the first climb, we were in the shade and a wind tunnel on this one
fun day, and nice to get out with mike and fletch again
oreganos on the way home - yum

Fun, two pitch climb. One sport draw needed on first pitch, for an otherwise trad route.
Weekend on Lemmon! In preparation we grabbed the best car camping foods ever: tons of cheese, and the most amazing beef tri-tips you'll ever have. That, along with a couple bombers of Rogue Chocolate Stout, and we were set!

Day 1: Single pitch climbing at Windy Point East. Tim and Eric did mostly sport, but did play around a little on a trad route. I opted out of climbing this day as I was healing up and wanted to be able to get on the multipitch route the next day.

Day 2: Slippery When Wet, at Windy Point West. Eric was our lead/rope gun, as neither Tim nor I had really led trad at that point. Really fun climb -- Tim's first multipitch! Love the rock down on Lemmon, and will have to get down there again soon.
