Spent a couple days climbing on some pretty cool sandstone cliffs off the East Verde River last weekend.

On Saturday, I headed up there with Sean for a pretty full morning of climbing and then Katie and I headed up there Sunday with the pups for a couple of routes and some swimming.

The climbing at the Library is pretty good. There are some great, short trad lines that packed a pretty tough punch, but were real fun and the views overlooking the East Verde were scenic. There was direct sun in the morning, but most routes started to enter the shade around 9-10:00 a.m. A great climbing area with a nice backdrop, we will be back for sure.

No climbing for some of us, but it was cool to check out this climbing area on the way back home from Rim camping. Definitely not a place I'd go out of the way for, but makes for an interesting enough destination on the way from points A to B.
