| no partners | | Started from the north end by Blue Point along the Bush Highway. Hiked in about 5.3 miles and turned around. I had shade for most of the first 3 miles then had to put my hood up. It seemed kind of hot at first once the sun hit, but then it seemed not so bad once the sun drenched everything.
I was the only hiker for this one, just saw people in side by sides, 4WDs, and one mountain biker. Once you get into the heart of the canyon the scenery really becomes nice. the power lines detract from it a little, but not too much.
Once I was done there was a group of Forest Service Law Enforcement cars at the trailhead that were starting to escort 3 Mercedes bus limos up FR10. The one officer asked me if I saw any snakes.
Nothing big or notable happened, other than cooler than expected temps, which was very welcome. |
