| no partners | | Back in the saddle after a month of living vicariously through other's triplogs. Sorry for the pain killer induced comments if I offended anyone. 8 miles round trip with my wife and her family. Saw quite a bit of wild life from deer to snakes and lizards. Not as quick with the camera so I missed the snake and lizard sorry coanbru. Anyway, first time out with any distance. The trail is very nice. I could have done without 8 miles of blacktop, but the bridges and scenery were interesting and it was nice to not have bloody legs at the end of a hike. A little humid for my taste, but nice to get out with the family. I'm not sure that the high humidity made up for the lack of elevation gain, but it was a good test to see if i'm back to my normal hiking level. The trail has a cool name is accessible and we saw only a handful of people. I was surprised to pull it up and see it listed on HAZ and would have posted a gps track had I not made it back to the house without my gps which seems to have been gifted to whomever found it after we got back to vehicle and it somehow did not get on board with us.  |
