Easy hike along the river for an 'easy' day. We were able to walk down to the trail from the house we were staying in. For those who are familiar with Bend. We walked from behind the Bend Athletic Club toward town.

Entered the Deschutes Rec Area off the Cascade Hwy just outside of Bend,OR. Started at Aspen Area and walked up river or West to Benham Falls. One way trip as we were picket up at Benham Falls Rec Area. Ran into lots of mosquitoes. With Jude and neighbor Linda.

First day of 5 days visiting a neighbor who rents a home in Bend for the summer. We were able to walk from the house in SW Bend down to the Deschutes River and follow the easy trail that took us along the river. Lots of tall pines and a few wild flowers as they are at the end of their spring. Weather temps were 45* to 90* with it being about 75* when we started our hikes about 9 AM.
