Parked just before the winter gate and hiked into the falls with Cass and Hugo. After hanging out at the lower viewpoint for about an hour we headed up to check out the upper trail before returning to the car shortly before dark.

Hiked up the falls and back. Didn't realize that it's possible to make a loop and hike to the top of the falls. Will likely head back in winter or spring when the flow is higher and check that out.

Went mushroom hunting afterwards with no luck.

We had hiked this trail before but didn't do the complete loop so today we set off to do just that. Realized our previous trip was last May 30th, almost exactly one year before. Lots of water coming off the falls today. Got a little later start but to really get the sun on the falls I think you have go after lunch. We went up to the top of the falls and then just a little further to nice camp/lunch spot along the river and a small waterfall. All in all not a bad little hike.
