Just a short rainy day hike to stretch my legs. Even with rain gear, I got pretty soaked. Water running down the trail turning it into a river, and several small depressions that were pooling with water well over a foot deep. Trail itself is not exciting in the slightest- but I figured I would get one more rainy winter PNW forest hike in before I fly down to Tucson for the next couple of weeks to enjoy the sunshine and warm weather :y:

Nice mostly sunny day in the mid 50s. Strolled along the trail from Gales Creek TH up to Bell Creek TH and back. Not too crowded for a sunday afternoon hike, only saw a handful of mountain bikers and hikers. Not a super exciting trail, but a nice break from the snow and a good way to get some decent mileage in. Only a couple of moderate patches of snow lingering in shaded areas of the trail on the lower stretches, but the last couple hundred yards was a solid foot of snow.
