Carbon River Road is closed just past the park boundary because of road damage from a flood (back in 2006 I think). So you now have an added 6 miles of road hiking to do to get to Green Lake. Ranger Falls was roaring and very nice. Green Lake is kind of a small lake, but does have a nice greenish color. Even though the bridge across the Carbon River was out for Chenuis Falls, we went as far as we could. The scenery was still great. Lots of people on mountain bikes along the old Carbon River road.
