Hiked into Jefferson Park from the Breitenbush Lake Trailhead. Nice area, bit of a long approach to get to Jefferson Park- would definitely be better to do this as a backpack. I only had about an hour or so to wander around to some of the lakes in Jefferson Park before I had to return to race the setting sun back to the parking lot. Not too many people out- maybe saw a half dozen or so the entire time. The forest is ablaze in color- all the huckleberry bushes are bright red and the meadows and other small shrubs are turning yellow.
