Fantastic moderate hike along the western shore up to Kaena Point, north of Makaha, Oahu. You won't often see shoreline, wave action, or scenery like this anywhere. Not much aeg but plenty of spectacular view points, possible seal sightings, outstanding arches and rock formations with interspersed tidal pools, sandy beaches and fishing spots. A few others will join you but not crowded by any means. Most people use the North shore access, since it's closer to Honolulu. It's a bit of a pain to get to this part of Oahu up to the end of Farrington Hwy, but the secluded beaches and milder surf (compared to the North Shore) make this an excellent outing, especially during the week.

We hiked to the point and back. Incredible blow hole along the trail  Lots of white water at the point. Also continued a bit on the north trail.
