Tugger
Couldn't get started until about 1:30 today due to some pet hospitalization issues, so decided to stay close, but do a hike that packs a punch. I love this hike, there's awesome elevation & amazing views from the top. Tugger was happy to get out too, and not be on Sabattus. I had to thoroughly agree.

It's been raining so much here, a lot of the tree roots & granite were very slippery, and I slipped & fell on the way down. Damned downhill! :D

Tugger
Tugger was in a race with some imaginary chipmunk or something today - damn!!! It took everything I had to try to keep within 20 ft of his tail! Man it was humid! We heard & saw a thunderstorm from the top, so we high-tailed it outta there. Apparently Tug was more concerned than I was because he ran the whole way down!!!

I kicked mom's boo-tay today on this hike! She kept telling me to slow down - sheesh, she should've just run faster! Keep up old lady!

Tugger
Super day! We didn't get rained on and the trail wasn't too muddy. We didn't get started until about noon, so our plans to go totally up and over and back were a little too ambitious. We did the well traveled Kearsarge North trail up (even on a Monday after a lot of rain the parking area was full!), hit the fire tower, then started down the Weeks Brook trail, as I've always wanted to see what the 'road less traveled' was like. That trail was AWESOME!!!! My friend and I decided we would definitely start from that side next time and see the whole thing. It was really overgrown in a lot of spots, and a few fallen trees, but really cool. We only went about a mile & 1/4 down (it was REALLY steep and slippery going down - both of us fell once!) and decided at a brook crossing about an hour down that it was time to turn around and go back up. We lost and gained another 1400 plus feet of elevation in that short distance to tell you how steep it was. We both loved it and want to do the whole 16 plus mile up and over and back next time!
