Lots of water, people and dogs on the trail today. Saw a few people on our way up to the lake today and saw at least 50-60 people on our way down. Parking lot was overflowing when we arrived back to the trailhead. Water on the trail wasn't a big issue as long as you have some boots or other water-proof footwear. We couldn't believe how warm it was and how little snow there was in the area -- it's January after all! Creek was roaring and there were lots of great waterfalls to view along the trail. All in all, a good hike to start the season and get the cobwebs off after a couple months of no hiking.
