Last minute decision to make a trip up to Indian Heaven to explore a bit. Didn't fully settle on a trail until I pulled up on the Lemei Rock trailhead and decided that would be the trail for the day. Had the whole area to myself.

By a lucky coincidence I happened to spot some larch trees just starting to change color along the trail. I had no idea there were any in the Indian Heaven Wilderness, so this was a nice surprise. They are still mostly lime green and blend in with the other trees, had it not been for a down branch on the trail I never would have spotted them.

Fun hike overall. Definetely want to come back in a week or so when the trees change color. Would also like to make it to the top of Lemei Rock, but I didn't have time on this trip. Made it out just before it got completely dark.

Small shrubs and grasses are gold and crimson. Larch are lime green- probably another week or two until their color is really noticeable.
