Our final hike while out visiting St. Louis. Fittingly, it was on the Lewis and Clark Trail, and featured several viewpoints overlooking the Missouri River as it nears its confluence with the Missippi.

Very muddy in light of recent rains, but once we committed to a little "mud-skating" here and there, and with a little extra care on any semi-steep downhill sections, the hike was quite enjoyable.

Lots of greenery. The overlooks on the river were a nice change of pace. Met a trail runner who was out doing a couple of training loops.

My Garmin died, so my route doesn't show the last 2.2 miles back to the TH.

A nice hike in the St. Louis outlying area.

We finished up, did a quick wardrobe change and then headed back to the airport for our flight home. A great trip.
