By the time I crossed the PCT, I was getting into the clouds. The higher I hiked the steeper the trail, denser the fog and the stronger the wind.
I almost turned around a couple times but kept on. It was cold. All at once I came upon a Sasquatch in the fog. I understood then why nobody could actually find them. They have integrated themselves into society.
He spoke good english. He said he had summited Thielsen before and we were a steep quarter mile away. The wind was blowing hard and I was getting wet and chilled. I intended to follow him a ways toward the summit, but he was going to turn around. A good call and I followed. We had a interesting chat on the hike down. A place worth returning to. |
