Group hike with Virginia, Kaila, Adam, Jeremy, and Alicia. Perfect day, temps in the 70s and partially cloudy. Followed Gorge Trail 400 out past Elowah falls, then hiked along the old highway to the turnoff to Munra Point. On the way back, we just followed the old highway to save time/distance so we could hit the brewery in Hood River.

First trip up to Munra Point with Virginia and Dale. We started about 10:30 from Elowah Falls parking lot. Took the trail on the way out, then returned along the old highway. Hazy out with temperatures in the low 80s.

Lots more people on the trail than we expected to encounter on a Wed afternoon. Fun climb on the way up with about a 30 minute break at the top. At the base of the ridge we cooled off briefly at Moffett Creek before heading back. Got to see a pair of bald eagles in their nest on the opposite side of the highway.

Matt and I stopped to get in a hike on our "rest day" and this was anything but easy. I'm not sure if it was because its memorial day or if this one is just that popular, but there were a ton of people out there. I said to Matt this is Oregon's version of the Flatiron.
