Joined the crowds today for a quick trip up to the middle ledge. The trail is in good condition. Thought there might be more water on the trail but there was only one little section that was wet. Otherwise it was in great shape. Just past the lower ledge there are some dusting of snow off the trail but the trail itself was still in great condition up to middle ledge.

Another foggy day in Seattle so we headed out to Rattlesnake Ledge to attempt the east side of Rattlesnake mountain after our earlier hike this year on the west end. As expected, the first part of the trail was crowded all the way to the first ledge. As we climbed higher, we encountered fewer people. About a half mile or so past the last ledge the trail became snow covered. We came prepared with micro spikes so no issues. But we saw plenty of others with just sneakers attempting the hike. Had lunch at East Peak. Great view of Mt. Rainier from the top. All that is left now is do the whole hike from end to end.
