I heard from a friend that this trail was relatively flat, so I decided to try running it.

The first couple of miles are fun as the trail rolls along the banks of the Salmon River. But the last mile or so up to the viewpoint are killer (at least if your trying to run it). I found myself walking the upper segments because it was just too steep for me. I was tempted to continue past the viewpoint, but I was out of steam and figured I would save that for another day.
