starting out @ fish creek canyon bridge(route 88),hike up creek to the south at bridge following canyon.Easy to follow sream for most of the trip, some bouldering required, and at times you will have to remove backpack to squeeze thru a few tight holes, and thru and under some boulders.Trail is easy to follow for the most part, but there are some stone markers to help guide way thru some questionable areas, trail is supposed to come out of canyon at tortillia trailhead but I have not been more than about a third of the way. I have seen lots of wild life on the two trips i have made including buckhorns.they say trip is better if given two days to complete the loop.I have seen some real cool campsites along the way so staying over night is really an inviting idea. I would pack light with only the things you need including lots of water and bug spray. The trail is very clean of trash and debrea and fellow hikers seem very frendly. The trail does become overgrown with dense brush that is were I stopped,I have taken my kids on the first hour of the hike without much problems and it was very enjoyable, the nice shade trees that cover much of the hike along with the cool refreashing swimming holes that are scattered along the way really keep the temperature down and revive you as you go thru.there are a few small waterfalls and at times the spring is underground but for the most part it is running nicely on the surface. There are lots of animal tracks to look out for you can see a wide variety of tracks from all the little creatures that occupy the canyon. For those who have made the loop complete, please let me know about your expereinces thank you and good hiking-Sumrdaz
