Went to try to find this trail. I have hiked everything on Mingus and Woodchute, except this. First of all you must have high clearance and in most conditions 4WD to even get to the upper “trailhead”. Upon arriving there I found no evidence of a trail, no sign, nothing other than a level camp spot with fire ring and large downed tree. I am not averse to some bushwhacking and trail finding, so I gave it a whirl. However, I didn’t get very far, less than 1/4 mile. Scant evidence of a former trail could be seen for a few feet here and there. As the route descends it quickly becomes a major bushwhack. I had the dog with me and really didn’t want to put him through something as tough as this would be, so we called it quits. I haven’t been to the bottom end of this route, so can’t report on that.
