This trail has spectacular views and is well marked and traveled. We began at the east trailhead, which is closest to town. Another nice feature is that the Brins trail has several options to either loop or connect with other trail systems to the west. The parking area at the east end is limited to about 10 or 12 cars so I recomment starting early. The trail starts out as a wide and comfortable old jeep trail which eventially becomes steeper at about .06 of a mile as you climb at the face of the mesa. The top of the mesa welcomes you with its level and open grassy plateau after a 600 ft climb. You can take a side trail to the left and opt to connect with the Soldiers Pass Trail which loops back towards town. Great views! The weather was clear and sunny and the temperature was cool but perfect for the vigorous hike. An alternate approach to the Brins Mesa Trail is to drive out Vultee Arch Road and hike it starting from the west trailhead.
