Just got back from my first attempt at Devils Canyon. My 2 sons were along for this trip.
There is one thing I would like to stress to the novice hiker. THERE IS POISON IVY just after the junction of Hackberry and Devils canyon. No I didn't get any rash because we turned back after getting to the wall to wall field of ivy. I will attempt this again and I hear you can circumvent the ivy on the right side.
