My husband John and I haven't backpacked in 2 years. For our friend Shannon who joined us, it was her first trip in many years. We hiked in 4.37 mile on Second Water Trail #236 to Boulder Canyon then about a mile north up Boulder Canyon Trail #103. We camped along the creek at the base of Battleship Mountain. The flowers along the way and the great views up stream were awesome. We will try again in early May or in the fall to make the whole treak or at least have a shuttle and eliminate the packs all together!!!!average hiking speed 1.46 mph
