A nice hike...I would recommend starting the hike earlier than later. Hiking this path clockwise seems to be the best route this time of year. It keeps you in the shade a bit more when coming down the backside. The views of the Goldfield Mountains are beautiful with the early morning light as well as the ocotillo were loaded with fresh leaves from the monsoon rains as of late.
