Great hike! Saw a Desert Bighorn Sheep on top. It was a male. He seemed relatively young with a pretty good size set of horns. I will post a pic. As he came into view he stopped, about 60 feet from us. Providing us with a pretty good look at him. He then took off, heading in a southerly direction. He came back by us about 15 minutes later. He didn't seem too fearful of us. Two years ago in March we saw 2 Gila Monsters on the same hike, on top of the mountain.

Sign and hazard tape posted by Forest Service at trailhead indicating trail is closed due to damage resulting from recent Slide Fire. Trail has minor damage and new plant growth. Very manageable.
