Wasn't thrilled by this hike. It's the standard trip over flat desert terrain, although you'll see plenty of big saguaros & fine mountain views throughout the trip. Perhaps my view of this one was jaded a bit by the angry rattler we came across near Pink Hill. It reared up & let us know who the boss was on this turf!

Note: According to postings at the trailhead, maintenance is being done on the Wentworth trail through the end of May.

This hike lived up to its billing. We benefitted from perfect weather - sunny skies & temps in the upper 70's - so we skipped the tram to experience the full Bear Canyon/Seven Falls tour on foot. A lot of people were on the trail this day - probably 25 to 30 other hikers (no mountain lions!), but everyone was on their best behavior.

I can't say enough about the Sabino Canyon Recreation area. It's an amazing asset to the community.

The trail description is an accurate account of what to expect with this hike. It was a breezy day, which felt great when we made it to the saddle. We were on the trail by 9 AM, which meant it wasn't too crowded (for a weekend), as we saw roughly 10 people on the way up. Coming down was a different story - we passed dozens of hikers, kids, Boy Scouts, etc.
