I took a six year old and a nine year old on this hike. We only went to Cedar Ridge. The trip over all had a nice view of the canyon. I wish I could have gone further in but with the kids I don't think this would have been a wise decision. There is no water on this trailer but there are toilets at Cedar Ridge. The hike down isn't so bad. Just be cautious about how far you go down into the canyon because you do have to go back up.

The hike is quite short taking maybe 15-20 minutes. There isn't really a sign showing were parking is or where to turn off. Once you see the mountain, which has a giant white "F" on it there should be a turn off somewhere on the road by railroad tracks. The place I found to turn off there was an underpass underneath the railroad tracks. There was a bee hive but I kept my windows up and was able to drive through without incident. The trail is will marked and easy to navigate. I toke a nine year old and a six year old with me without any trouble.
