The superstitions in a rainstorm remind me of the tropics. Especially when things are very green in the springtime. Had a nice day hiking through clouds and scattered rain storms. Mist clung to the tips of the craggy mountains all day. Reavis creek had a good amount of flowing water, but the falls was a meager trickle. Admittedly I was a bit disappointed, given how much rain we've been getting this winter. Still a great hike. Didn't see another soul all day. Kept thinking how peaceful it would be to bring a sleeping bag and spend the night down at the confluence of Reavis Creek and the wash. Maybe someday

Lots of orange poppies in the first couple of miles. Not much in the way of wildflowers once I parted from the main trail
