Road into the trail was easy peasy. Subi made it in with no problem and small passenger cars, think along the lines of a ford focus, made it in. Hats off to the young lads who got a flat tire on the dirt road and fixed it in a jiffy.
Trail was easy and fun. Little bit slippery in places where you crossed drainages (all of which were flowing). Water, water, water this year and this time of year. Every little crack that could have water flowing, did, and that was was gushing. We passed the falls in hopes of getting to the AZT but stopped about a mile before the AZT to have lunch, chill-oot, and enjoy some serenity.
Hiking back to the falls was straightforward. Falls were flowing like mad, maybe even a bit angry, but I wouldn't say they were furious. Just mad.
About 8 groups seen on this day including a friend who paths must have been just meant to cross. It's a small world. |
