We moved out of the wash on the right side and found the horse trail going into Gateway Canyon. John saw delicate arch from where the horse trail ends and foot trail begins. The foot trail going up is well cairned and Delicate arch can be seen on the way up. When we left the canyon, we went Northwest to Delicate arch. Then headed south across a couple of ridgelines moving toward Golden Dome. In the canyon before Golden Dome, we looked into the was to the west and spotted what we think is Westward Arch. GPS coordinates N 33 31.489 W 111 31.926. Not the coordinates Ted Tenny showed in his book Goldfield Mountain Hikes. We went to the arch for a photo op then looked for alternative ways to get back to blue point. It appeared the way we came was probably the easiest way out. |

Wildflowers Observation Moderate We did see a fair amount of flowers and flowering cactus. See the photoset to see examples of the flora. |
