Planned on doing about 1.5 more miles, but got started a bit late, then got distracted by 1) some graffiti in a tunnel under Thunderbird, then 2) a new trail being built along a contour about halfway down the north slope of the ridge that parallels Thunderbird. I think it may be official trail work, as the route that has so far been laid out is lined by those "furry" yellow or blue survey-type markers. I'm wondering if it is being set up as a Trail 100 alternate, as Trail 100 is deeply eroded along the same contour on the south side of the ridge ... :-k

Also, noticed that the Trail 100 posts are labelled with the scannable "smart" labels, which include a terrain profile of the trail, your location on it, both on the profile, and in decimal lat & long.
