Started in subarctic Alaskan weather (40 degrees in Arizona) and shivered 3/4 of the first lap. At which point I had to slow it down cause I was going way to fast to hold up for 8 laps. I continued to hold the pace down and eat more than usual. All was good going into my first eighth. Just before the half way point Vaporman passed, it was good to finally meet the legend! That was until he gave me some sob story about needing a lap to warm up, shortly after which he left me in the dust :lol:

Looking back at my "History", the furthest I ever hiked before was 18 miles.
