October 2013 3rd Annual PX4
This year offered up deeper hues, crispy leaves and thicker blankets obscuring the trails. Temperatures where storybook throughout. Karl & Kathy tagged along on the first loop after a decent sized hike the previous day.

Camp Goddard may have been the best experience of my life. In the 8th grade, I got a shirt stating I'd canoed the Illinois. Perhaps a few miles, loved the experience nonetheless. The Arizona National Scenic Trail was made possible by the great members of HAZ. Albeit semi-conscious, Isis Temple is hands down the most gratifying memory.
Dad didn't grasp HAZ but enjoyed witty banter. Whenever HAZ surfaced in conversation dad would ask "joe, why hike arizona?". To which I'd respond with an ear to ear grin, because dad... it ROCKS!!!
