I had limited time, but wanted to see something new. I hiked from Blackjack Campground to Phillips Tank, then headed down White Mule Creek. I came across a few small pools of water, and a horrendous amount of enormous bear crap piles. Bigger than a football. I turned around at the bend between the White and Mule (on the topo), and hiked back to the campground. There wasn't anything really exciting about this place, just a nice pine country canyon walk, with a few small (8 foot) pour-offs to add interest. Late summer might bring a flowing creek and wildflowers.
