| no partners | | Went up to the Jug with friends, Chris and Todd. Arrived at 10:30am to an empty trailhead. Great weather but many bugs on the approach(small flies, not quite as small as gnats). Very annoying, but no biters. Bug problem ceased once we reached the water, but resumed on the way back out.
Desert looks pretty this time of year with prickly pear, saguaro, ocotillo and several other plant varieties in full bloom.
Water flow was just the way I like it. Great waterfalls, clear water, low slime factor, and fast slides. Is this place ever "not fun"? Doubt it.
Looks like fairly new cord and webbing in place for the traverse out to the jump/rappel point.
Todd found a ring in an ankle deep pool. If anyone lost a ring at the Jug, describe it, let me know.
As usual, it was a hot hike out, but well worth every moment spent playing at the Salome waterpark. |
