Overview: A short but a-kicking mountain bike trail with more than 800 feet of elevation gain in approx 1 mile. Climbs up and over the edge of the McCullough Hills, some great volcanic foothills of the McCullough Range. Unrelenting switchbacks become progressively steeper from the trailhead, then you sail down the back side. Sweat back up the back side for your reward - bombing down the switchbacks to your vehicle.

    To mountain bike ride
Drive east on I-215 from Las Vegas. Get off at the Gibson exit in Henderson and turn south. After a few blocks, turn east (left) at the stoplight onto Horizon Ridge Parkway. Keep a sharp eye out for Shaded Canyon Drive to the right, since there is no light or stop sign. Turn around on the dead end street and park near the trail sign.
