Carrizo Peak Trail #72 is a 2.5 mile one way hike with 1,664 feet accumulated elevation gain. Located 57 miles north-northeast of Alamogordo New Mexico. October and April are the best months to enjoy this hike.


It begins at Forest Road 441 and dead ends at Carrizo Peak. The trail is open for the following uses: Hiking, Horseback Riding
