Overview: Ponderosa pine and other conifers are prominent at the highest elevations as Raspberry Trail drops 2,500 feet to the Blue River.


For easiest hiking, start at the Strayhorse Campground as it is downhill almost all of the way to the Blue River.

    To hike
    Forest Road #281 continues north to US 180 near Alpine. The road also follows the Blue River south for another mile where it ends where the Blue River Trail begins.
