Starting from the Colorado Trail (Highline Trail portion), the trail switchbacks down an east-facing grassy bowl, dipping into several gullies and soon merging into the spruce and fir at the bottom of the draw. Near the bottom, the trail passes through several small south-facing meadows that offer good camp spots. Wading Hermosa Creek is necessary to access the Hermosa Trail. Water should always be purified, to avoid Giardia.
When hiking several trails on a single "hike", log it with a generic name that describes the hike. Then link the trails traveled, check out the example.
