watch for deer, bear, etc archery targets
by TrekSafari

 Likely In-Season!
The elevation at the Logan River is 5100’. From the river to the padlocked gate is 260 feet climb in 0.7 miles. The first 1.3 miles from the river follows a wide gravel road.

The locked gate is to keep traffic down in the Archery Range.

For parking at Card Canyon there are three options:
1. Park at the Forest Service Guard Station in the circular driveway. Please do not block access to the barn.

2. [High clearance suggested.] Turn right crossing Logan River via the bridge, take the left fork, drive just past the summer homes, continue beyond the first gate and park along the road in the grass.

3. [High clearance required.] Continue driving on the gravel road to the padlocked orange gate and park in the grass meadow.

During the hunting season members of the Archery Club may be practicing. You might look for full size targets: deer, turkey, bear, etc.

There are two trails starting from here. They both wander southward to a gravel road (FR-052) making it a 6 to 7 mile loop.

Gate Policy: If a gate is closed upon arrival, leave it closed after you go through. If it is open, leave it open. Leaving a closed gate open may put cattle in danger. Closing an open gate may cut them off from water. Please be respectful, leave gates as found. The exception is signage on the gate directing you otherwise.
