Dropping 2,800 feet from Junction Creek Road with very little uphill in between, this trail is all downhill! Basically it runs next to the creek, so there is ample water—although it should always be filtered, to avoid Giardia. Fishing is also a possibility. There are several camp spots along the way, especially near the bottom of the trail. There are bears in this area, so caution should be used. There is no bridge crossing Hermosa Creek. Check out the Official Route. Leave No Trace and +Add a Triplog after your hike to support this local community. One-Way Notice This hike is listed as One-Way. When hiking several trails on a single "hike", log it with a generic name that describes the hike. Then link the trails traveled, check out the example. |
