This nature trail for the physically challenged was built by the Colorado Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc. and the Forest Service. It meanders through a sunny hillside. Giant granite boulders surrounded by aspens, a creek, and a cool, wet fir and spruce forest.
Camping is not permitted along this trail due to the developed campsites at Meadow Ridge and Thunder Ridge located nearby at Rampart Reservoir.
When hiking several trails on a single "hike", log it with a generic name that describes the hike. Then link the trails traveled, check out the example.

Road
To hike From Colorado Springs take HWY 24 west to Woodland Park and turn right at the McDonald's on Baldwin St. This street eventually turns into Rampart Range Road after passing the Woodland Park High School and Middle Schools or you may access Rampart Range Road through the Garden of the Gods. After going past "Balanced Rock", a sign on the left will indicate the Rampart Range Road. This route should only be chosen if you have an extra hour of driving time and have a 4x4 vehicle. It is a scenic route but the road is in poor condition.
