Overview
Deer Canyon - Hualapai Mountains is a 0.85 mile one way hike with 590 feet accumulated elevation gain. Located 11 miles east-southeast of Kingman Arizona. Trailhead access is via a dirt road which is typically car accessible when dry. May and October are the best months to enjoy this hike.


Lower trail access to Hualapai Mountain Park. Deer Canyon access climbs to TH parking area at the Potato Loop TH.

To hike
Exit #51 south off I-40. Take Stockton Hill Road south which becomes Hualapai Mountain Road south of Old Route 66. It is 13 miles from I-40 to the park entrance. Pay your entrance fee and pick up a map. Trail begins about 1/2 mile northwest of entrance gate.
