This maintained dirt road leads to the summit of Hayden Peak. The road is closed except to authorized vehicles accessing the communications facilities at the summit. The park brochure reminds visitors not to disturb any of these facilities.

This road is accessed at the western side of the Potato Patch Loop, near Boy Scout Camp Levi Levi, and just south of the junction for the Mt. Tipton Overlook trail.
