Gold Basin Trail is a 3 mile round trip hike with 600 feet accumulated elevation gain. Located 17 miles east-southeast of Moab Utah. July and August are the best months to enjoy this hike.
Hike up Gold Basin along a good trail to a nasty looking pond. However, if you continue off the official trail (on game trails and unofficial trails not in the statistics above) you can explore the entire Gold Basin Cirque area with several beautiful little alpine ponds, but beware the bears.
Check out the Official Route.
