This trail appears to be a work in progress. Page stats & the route are currently a guess. Hiker beware.

Hike
Theoretically 3.1 miles one-way but you start from a temporary connector trail starting at the HV73 marker. I expect the Axle Grease Trail to extend to the trailhead when it's finished.

The trail itself is very nice and fairly smooth. It is a little twisty but the surface of the trail is mostly dirt with very few rocky areas. It also has the Rawhide Wash on the east side of it and a state temporary road on the west. Lots of vegetation which I enjoy seeing and I am sure it will get better with rain.

The Pima/Dynamite Trailhead is not open yet. Even though I got in the Scottsdale Police had to open the gate to let me out. Might be water and restrooms at the trailhead in the future.

Gate Policy: If a gate is closed upon arrival, leave it closed after you go through. If it is open, leave it open. Leaving a closed gate open may put cattle in danger. Closing an open gate may cut them off from water. Please be respectful, leave gates as found. The exception is signage on the gate directing you otherwise.
