A nice starting point for a more extensive (off-trail) jaunt around the many fascinating sandstone outcroppings in the immediate area or exploration of the Pinto Valley further to the SW.

    To hike
    Drive into Lake Mead National Recreation Area by traveling east from Las Vegas via either Lake Mead Pkwy (NV 564) or Lake Mead Blvd (NV 147). Once inside the park, turn north (left) onto Northshore Road. Continue on Northshore Rd to mile marker 27 and the signed turn for Redstone. Turn right into the parking lot.
