Overview
Shellrock Lake Trail #700 is a 2.34 mile one way hike with 688 feet accumulated elevation gain. Located 44 miles southeast of Portland Oregon. August and July are the best months to enjoy this hike.


This trail is a great connector for many popular destinations. The trail enters Roaring River Wilderness. It begins at Forest Road 5830 adjacent to Hideaway Lake Campground, travels to Shellrock Lake and continues to it's terminus at Frazier Turnaround.

    From Estacada, OR - go approximately 24 miles southeast on OR 224 then 7 miles east on Forest Road 57 then 3 miles north on Forest Road 58, and 5 miles west on Forest Road 5830.
