This hike near starts at Miette Hot Springs (about an hour from Jasper) so there is the option to take a soak in the hot water when you are done. Hike This hike is a steady climb all the way to the top. The last portion once you clear the treeline is the steepest and trekking poles can be handy for the climb down. It's also very windy up top, so much so on the cloudy, rainy day we went that even my trekking poles were being blown around. The views from the top on a clear day must be incredible but clouds limited the views we got. However, we did spot a large group of bighorn sheep in the area where the treeline ends so that helped ease the pain of lack of views. Check out the Official Route and Triplog. Note This is a moderately difficult hike. Leave No Trace and +Add a Triplog after your hike to support this local community.
