This is the shortest route to Phipps Arch from Hwy 12, at Hwy 12 there is convenient parking spot for few vehicles. Start from the trailhead parking and follow sandy trail leading to shallow wash, continue along the wash until you reach usually unpassable two potholes, backtrack ~30 yards and hike up and continue bypass traversing slope on the right, this will lead you eventually to Phipps wash and established trail at the bottom, by the creek, follow cairns all the way to the Phipps Arch.
